It's a 7 story (maybe it was 6?) building with boutique hotel rooms on a few floors, and food and bars on most others. For this site they seemed to focus on their collection of ceiling lights and chandeliers - most rooms are packed with stunning pieces. It's very simple and unassuming from the outside, but their fun decor and intricate details on the inside are spectacular. We will be thinking twice before going back to this location.Īmazing MAZE of a fun pub!! If you're familiar with McMenamins then you know they do fantastic restoration work, and this is one of their coolest! There are SO many different rooms, bars, restaurants, sitting areas that you practically need a map when you enter the place. In total, our dinner turned into a 3 hour long visit. In total, the service was outstandingly slow. We ordered and our waitress never came back to check in with us, not to refill our water or anything.
This was outrageous to us because the service was the worst we had ever had. It took, 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks. This was not the case, each thing we ordered, the portions were so small, it was definitely enough for 1 person per app that we ordered.Once we went upstairs to our reserved table, we were ready to order more drinks and food. We also ordered a few appetizers, which when we asked our waitress how large they were for the 7 of us, she said what we ordered would be the right amount for us all. However, this location did not measure up to our standards of how our experiences at other McMenamins have been.First we started off at the Spanish bar, which it took 20 minutes after we ordered to get our drinks (we were celebrating a 21st birthday so it was a special occasion). We love going to McMenamins all over Washington and Oregon as often as we can. First and foremost, my family and I are frequent McMenamins patrons.
